Nimona Thoughts/Review| Robbing Banks + Cinnamon Rolls

This is going to be very ramble-y and abrupt SO DEAL WITH IT.

      My Nimona Review

Nimona is an impulsive young shapeshifter with a knack for villainy. Lord Ballister Blackheart is a villain with a vendetta.

As a sidekick and super villain, Nimona and Lord Blackheart are about to wreck some serious havoc. Their mission: Prove to the kingdom that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his buddies at the Institution of Law Enforcment and Heroics aren't the heroes everyone thinks they are.

Explosions will be involved. Science and sharks will be, too.

But as small acts of mischief escalate into a vicious battle, Lord Blackheart realizes that Nimona's powers are as murky and mysterious as her past. And her unpredictable wild side might be more dangerous than he is willing to admit.

Let's get one thing straight. Nimona is the most precious thing ever. From the very beginning, she is bold, witty, and unpredictable. She is blunt, ruthless, and willing to get her hands dirty to get the job done.
"We'll murder the king in front of everyone. Then you'll crown yourself the new king."

You get the sense from the first chapter that Nimona definitely has some darkness that lurks deeper than her hilariously ruthless comments. She is always ready to jump into the action and take people down.

It's her shape-shifting. For some reason, that picture is so aesthetically pleasing to me. I could stare at it for hours. Her shape shifting gives her the ability to do anything, to be anything. She is a wild card. And main characters that are wild cards are the reason I get up in the morning.

That and food.

Even though Blackheart is a villain, he is running around trying to clean up Nimona's messes. He apologizes for her, rights her wrongs, and does his best to turn her into a morally good young lady. He cares for her very deeply, and he is basically the cutest little jellybean when he is worried for her.

When I started the book, I was excited for a Middle Age fantasy fun thing. Then I caught sight of the 21st century technology and the future tech that everyone seemed to be blinged out with. After consulting with multiple historians, we here at An Odd Blog have concluded that technology was not part of the Middle Ages, and this, in fact, has no official setting. Because it's cool like that.

+ "Killing solves nothing." - The VILLAIN who pretends to be all fierce and hardcore.

+ Nimona is the most precious cinnamon roll of all time. She's the type of person who looks at an arrow embedded in her thigh and just says. "Oh."

IN CONCLUSION: Nimona is a little ball of anger, confusion, different hair colors, and evil tendencies.  I am so glad that I discovered this comic. It is hilarious, touching, and I JUST WANT DRAGON WINGS, OKAY?
