Mmm, Biscotti

I am back and I'm alive! Ok, I'm really excited and I don't wan't to go on and on about it, but Arkansas was a blast!!
I'm going to go through it day by day. But instead I'm just going to do 2 days a post because I want to be able to make it detailed and I don't want to have it toooo long. And it may not sound like a great vacation but it was amazing!! Here we go.
Day 1: Saturday the 19th.The Day of Traveling
We woke up at 4:15, and it was brutal. I dragged myself down to a quick breakfast of sticky porridge, and dried apples. After that we waited outside with our luggage for my Grandparents to take us to the airport.
Needless to say it was rushed. But then it was even more rushed as soon as we arrived at the SeaTac Airport. People were rushing about like ants with their home crushed, clutching at their belongings for dear life. After we boarded the plane it was 3 hours 'till Atlanta, Georgia. We had to have a layover since we were using flight miles and the airline doesn't HAVE to give us those free flight miles. Anyway, 2 hours in Atlanta of trying to find the right gate and then finding cheap food, well, as cheap as you can get at an airport. Then we got on the hour and a half hour flight to Jasper, Arkansas. It was a really small plane and there was a lot of really yummy biscotti cookies (I really want more biscotti cookies). Anyway, we arrived in this super tiny airport that had giant checkers and giant chess. We WERE going to play but the taxi service had arrived and we didn't have time. SO we were driven to the hotel we were going to stay at for the night and crashed. End of day one.

Day 2: Sunday the 20th. Horseshoe Canyon Ranch
We woke up and went to the breakfast that the hotel provided. It was the worst. It was these dry floury biscuits with a floury gravy. GROSS. After that we went to the pool and goofed off. Splashing each other, playing Marco Polo and a spattering of other games. It was a lot of fun. We hurried to pack up our things before the ranch people came to get us, and we barely made it on time to the front door to wait for the person.
A large white panel van pulled up, and a guy stepped out. He had mischievous, laughing eyes and a joke, about to be said. "You guys the Yackels?" My dad nodded and we loaded our luggage into the back of the car. I was nervous. I don't like people I don't know. And a long car-ride with someone I don't know? Not my idea of fun. But as soon as we hit the road he put us all at ease. We were laughing so hard at everything he said. By the way, his name was Morgan. You're going to be hearing A LOT more about him. The entire car ride was really nice, and we had a lot of fun. I learned that Morgan had been to Africa (my dads favorite place on earth), so then my dad jumped in and he and Morgan were going back and forth with comments, jokes and sarcastic comments. It was funny. We arrived at the ranch, our stomachs aching from laughter and hunger. On our way to our cabin we found out that dinner was at 6:30 and we had until then to get settled in. Dinner was delicious. After dinner we roamed around and explored a bit, finding out that there were horses also roaming around. And they came up to us, begging for attention. Of course, we gave it to them. :)
That night we found the Barn. It was an old barn that had HUGE loft filled with different things to do. It had a small basketball court. A climbing wall. And two holes in a wall that were strangely looking like a maze. So Ben grabbed a flashlight and headed in (the hole in the wall). After he got put on the other side he was sweating and grinning. It was a maze, quite large in fact. There were 3 other entrances and exits. So he tried each one. And the farther right he got with the holes, the more difficult the maze became. Starting you out in harder spots. And all of the maze was behind a wall and in the dark. Then we headed back to our cabin and crashed.
That's the end of this vacation report for today. Tomorrow you can expect more.

A friend recommended looking more into Julie Fowlis music (she was the one who did the music for Brave), and I did. I LOVED IT!! I didn't know that she did a lot more than just the music. So that's pretty cool.

Today we went to the library and I just wanted to check if I had anything on hold. But I didn't know if I did. So I walked in and went over to the hold section...and guess what amazing book was waiting for me (HINT: When I checked it out I was 300 on the hold list and it is being made into a major motion picture), that's right. It was DIVERGANT!!!! You can imagine how excited I was. I got a pretty bad case of RCS (Roller Coaster Syndrome). So far I reeeally like it.

We are having a party on May 3rd. And I'm excited/nervous. All these people that I kinda just met are coming to my house. See, it's for the debate club "End of the Season Party." And I only met these people a couple months ago. I'm also really bad with socializing with people and I end up standing around quite awkwardly. Wish me luck.

Bob

So, today is the last day in my house, and I have finished packing.
I guess you guys are probably sick of hearing about Arkansas. Moving on....

...to last night! Beth and I had a lot of fun. We made brownies and watched a movie together, but before that, we couldn't stop laughing. We must have had the giggles or something. There was one time when she said "*gasp* Do you want to be a wheel barrow?" I obviously had no idea what she was talking about, so I replied, "Of course. I've always wanted to be a wheel barrow." But then I realized she was talking about where she takes my feet, and I have to walk around on my hands while she pushes my feet. It didn't end well.

It's sunny, OH! I know I said I was moving on from my trip (sorry), but I found out that while we are there, there is a high chance of having 2 thunder and lightning storms.
I don't know if that's cool or not cool. I'll figure it out later. Oh, and we're supposed to also get a warm rain, one of my favorite weather conditions. But enough about weather, this isn't a news report or something like that. *points to invisible person sitting in chair* "And back to you..., MOM!! You just crushed Bob! Never mind guys, she crushed Bob."

Hmm, I really want more brownies, and I need more sleep. Goodness, I'm so tired; I can barely keep my eyes open.
Signing off,

October

Hey guys!

So today I haven't been feeling that great, so Bethany is pampering me!! It's so sweet, she brought me tea and chocolate, and we have hanging out together. It's been such a blast. So here's to you Beth! *lifts cup of tea*
Also, we're watching an amazing movie called October Baby. Oh gosh, it's made me cry. I feel so silly, crying over a movie...
But anywho, it's a really good movie. Everyone in this world should watch it. Unless you hate tearjerkers. Oh, and it's also really funny. "I have a wild side, you should see me play Scrabble." I quote that ALLL the time.
Also, did you guys know by Birthday is in October. It should be a national holiday....

Oh gosh, I finished the movie and now I have cried and I encourage NO-ONE to watch that movie. IT'S SO SAD!!!!! *ugly sobbing* No, it's really a good movie, you should watch it. It's a really good movie. But it's just really sad.....

On a better note, I finished packing! So that's out of the way.

Also, Beth just made me a banana smoothie. Yummy!! It's really good.

Ohp, looks like we're watching a movie!

Rushed

Hey! I lived through the debate! I feel like I did an okay job, but I'm not that happy about it all. Jessie (my partner) forgot to emphasize the medicinal uses of coral and that didn't help.  I also wasn't understanding the topicality of it all. Uhg, I did horribly.

Anywho, I guess that last night was the blood red moon. I didn't really think about it not being visible. The clouds reflected the eerie glow of malice and the color of blood from the usually pure moon. Okay, not sure where that came from. Anywho, it's pretty cool 'cuz I've never seen a lunar eclipse before. I hope I'm not building this up in my mind, and it won't be as cool as I thought it would be.

Also, I've been watching Doctor Who, it is awesome!

I'm going to try something. See, the words are white so if I didn't have the highlighter then it would look like this. See? See? I just wrote see? in complete white ink. That's fun playing around.
Experiment finished.

Wow, I don't know what to say now.

Oh, I started a new novel. Let's see, I have...War Games, Fer: A Lost Girls Tale, The Mirror, and My Father's Keeper. I don't know how I'm going to balance all of them.

Urrmm, Arkansas. I have begun to start the packing list, and I'm nervous that I'll forget something big, like my toothbrush, OH! I need to add that! I'll be right back.
Okay, I added it.

Wow, these posts are really short. We're so busy trying to get ready for AR, and I was also running a ton of errands with mum to get food for the big trip. Everything has been so rushed in the past few days, not that that's a bad thing. It just takes a lot of preparation to go places.

Anywho, I really have to go.

Dreading

Oh my gosh! So Beth was reading my blog but she stopped at the "I'm dreading my sis coming home." And so now she thinks that I was being mean and saying that I don't want her here. Uhg, I'll have to make sure that she reads the rest of the post as soon as possible.

Oops,

Demented Frogs

Hey. Today is an amazingly sunny and warm day. The sky is so blue, and I can't see any clouds.

I normally jump-rope like a rabbit. Like, I jump so high in the air! But today Beth taught me how to jump-rope normally. I have learned to bounce instead of JUMP!!! Now I just look like a demented frog instead of a hyper bunny, but I do feel better about my jump-roping skills!

Urrmm, Hakuna Matata!!! Oops, did I just say that out loud? This is awkward, not that you're awkward. I'm awkward. You're gorgeous! Wait, what?
Hehe, I can't help but quote Frozen, even though I haven't seen it yet!!

I'm listening to "He Mele No Lilo" right now, and I feel like a bobble-head! I've never really been all that interested in this type of music. I just love this song for some reason.

Anywho, someone my dad knows just came to our house, and I am kinda feeling awkward. I mean, I'm still in my PJ's, and I don't know this person. Also, whenever someone comes to the door, I kinda screech and run to my room. It's funny, I just don't like people. Well, I'm okay with certain people, but others I'm just like, "*hisss* Go away!"

Okay, so I am dreading my sis getting home. See, I'm trying to spend more time with her, and we aren't interested in the same stuff. I decided that if she wanted to do this thing that I hate then I would agree and be a wonderful sister! :)
Guess what guys? It means letting her mess around with makeup on MY face. See, she's really into makeup and fashion and all that girly stuff. I on the other hand am interested in writing, outdoors, guns and stuff. So, you can see how I would feel tortured sitting stiff with a pencil about to touch my eyeball. Uhg, but hey, I'm exaggerating a bit. We always end up laughing and having a good time. So, it's not THAT bad.
Anywho, I'm going to go await my doom. :)

The Doctor

He has become my new best friend. Yes, that's right folks. The Doctor.
I am currently writing this from the library where I am trying not to scream. I finally got guys, I finally got it!!! Doctor Who shall become the companion of mine on many a rainy night. But wait! It's sunny, I'll feel guilty for staying under a blanket and in the darkness watching Doctor Who. But I have to! I just got it...
Well, I should probably take each episode in stride and not watch the entire season in one day, like I did with Sherlock.

But hey, it was good and now I have to wait so long for the third season!!! Uhg, but that's a whole other rant for a whole other time.

Well, we are leaving the library and I had to post real quick about my abounding happiness. I can't believe how long I've been waiting for it and one day it just SHOWS UP!!!!! Oh my goody goody gumdrops (that's odd!!!

Defying Gravity

Hey all, sorry that I haven't written a blog post in a while. I've just been so busy with a ton of stuff.
Like, yesterday we went to a huge debate tournament, and we had to get up super early. Now I'm super tired because it was really far away and we got back late.
Okay, so it started out really awkwardly. I knew no-one and was kinda meandering about aimlessly, but then for the second half I ran into someone I knew. I always thought she was really boring, she always comes across as shy, but when she gets tired and hungry she becomes hyper and fun. We were laughing so hard!!

Well, I have writers-block...yeah...
It's not fun because I hate just staring at the screen and pulling out my hair in frustration!! I'm almost bald now (not really, I was just being the veritable master of hyperbole (I know big words!!)). I like using big words to sound smarter even though I don't know what they photosynthesis. That's a joke, I know what all those big words mean. :)

So I discovered the musical "Wicked." It has Idina Menzel in it, she plays Elphaba (the Wicked Witch). And she sings the bestest song ever! It's called "Defying Gravity". I just love it so much.

Oh shoot, I forgot that my mom was taking me with her on errands, I havta go get ready.
Sorry!

Ads

Ok, so as some of you may have noticed...I added ads to my blog. It will slowly earn me money. Like, for every click that I get I earn like, .1 of a penny. SO please click around on the ads and on the ad links and stuff. I want to earn as much money as I can.
One of my dad's friends made a blog when he was 20 and added ads, and he makes like...1000 a year. So I know it won't be immediate that I'll earn  money. But still. I'll earn money eventually. And I have to warn you, some of the ads might be a little odd. But I can't change them.

Also, the debate is coming fast and I'm nervous. I really hope that I can not crash and burn and die when I get up there. I really hope I do well.

Um, oh! My bro is watching Agents of Shield and I'm not a good multitasker. I don't want to miss it.
Sorry,

Testing

Testing, one two three, Testing.

See, my computer wasn't posting the posts. So I lost yesterday's and todays. That stinks...
Anyway, this is a test post. If it shows up then GREAT!!! But if not....then the computer needs to get looked at.
So once again, testing, one two three, testing (I feel like I'm on stage using a microphone).
Please post...show up!

This is a Major Geek Post.

Waz up?
WARNING!!!!! Fangirling may occur!!!  And there may be random spurts of craziness.
I am watching X-men 2. I like it, it's by Marvel so how could I not? Anywho, I have to say that my favorite's are Storm, Mystique, and Rogue. But Mystique really needs put some clothes on. It's really awkward since I'm watching it with my entire family. Yes, she is alien and her skin is blue. But still.
Oh man, I want fire powers!! That would be sweet, vwoosh!!! Everything's on FIRE!!!

Well, I can't wait until October 8th!!! That's when the Blood of Olympus comes out for all you non HoO readers. Oh my goodness that series is so amazing!! But you have to start from the VERY beginning or some stuff won't make complete sense and you won't get a couple of the inside jokes. You see PJO is the beginning series and HoO is the sequel series. OH IT'S SO AMAZING!!!! AJKDEFUJUP. I just can't even...
Like I said, there may be some fangirling.

Also, let's talk about Sherlock!! Spoiler Alert!!!
Don't get me started on that cliffhanger...well, I should say building hanger (oo, too soon.). I mean, I know he survived because of season 3 and the ending of season 2. But still, the panic that I had when I watched him jump. NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh oh my gosh!! SOme-one I really like on X-men just died...oh gosh, I'm about to cry. She was so nice and awesome and you really like her character. *sniff* I hate movies...

Wow, I just realized how much of my life is devoted to story's, like reading and writing and watching things and so on and so forth! Then again I don't think that I could be the writer I am today if I didn't read as much as I do. I just love my job!
Not the summer weeding one, that one is really boring and horrible (but hey, it makes money). But the writing one, just because I am a pre-published writer doesn't mean that writing isn't my career. Yup, that's pretty awesome. I am a writer.

And what better place to stop than at that! On a happy note, instead of on the subject of the dead character on X-men...(oh great, now I'm thinking about it, not now waterworks, not now.) *sniff* I'm fine. *sob* just a little less fine than I was a minute ago.

I better go before I become a blubbering mess,

Sunny

Hey all! So what's up?
The Chiropractor was weird, he was really friendly but it seemed like he was reaching for funny material. But other than it was fine!

Um, so I have officially run out of reading material! We need to go to the library soon, because the more I read the more I write. It's weird actually, like, I get more motivated to write because one day I want my book published and reading reminds me of that.

So I thought of a horrible plot twist for my book that I'm going to add. It's sad, but also...perfect in a way. Like, I think I created this character to be...(I don't want to give too much away), um, anyway, it's perfect and I am now going to add it.

Well, it's a sunny day, and I think I'm going to go for a walk!
It's funny, because the forecast said it would be overcast and rainy, but it's kinda the opposite!! I'm not complaining, I just think it's funny.

And it's time for a......................never mind. I have to go, it's a short post. Sorry, but my mother is stepping out the door right now and motioning for me to join her.
So, gotta go.

Golden Falcons

Hey all, can't talk long...gotta go to the Chiro (Chiropractor) .
But the few moments I have, I will type like crazy!!

1) Bonfire was a huge success!! It was a blast, Ben got the fire so big that we had to sit about...10 feet back because of the heat!! We laughed, had marshmallows and graham crackers, and had a blast.

Then this really weird silhouette was walking towards us. All of a sudden the silhouette shouted out, "What are you doing back here?", (Even though it was our yard) in this really deep, gruff voice. When we heard the voice, we all relaxed because only our father could make that weird voice. So yay!! He was home early (for tax season, normally in tax season he gets home around...8:30 and it was 8:00)!! He stayed with us for a bit then went and changed out of his work clothes and had dinner. By 10:00 we decided to head in, but I stayed for a couple minutes more and just watched the flickering embers, still burning the teenyist bit. It was really fun.

2) I've decided to take a break from "Let it Go" and instead finish a piece that I started a year ago. The reason why I am going to revisit "Let it Go" LATER is because I am really stuck at this part where my hands have to do this "flow" thingy. The timing is off, my hands aren't able to reach all the way (because when you do the "flow" your hands are also holding a chord), and it's just not working for me right now. That's ok, like I said, I'll just revisit this later.

3) Food. So we are trying to eat more fermented foods, like pickles, yogurt, and other stuff like that. It does something for your gut. I don't remember, but if you want to know so badly, then you can ask my mom. :)

4) Chiro.
I 'aveta go soon.

5) Falcon in the Glass, I finished the book! It was really good and kinda sad. I felt bad for the boy's mother and sister, but he was trying to protect them the entire time. I thought the shadow at the beginning of the book was going to be his father, but it turned out to be his...well, you can see for yourself if you read it.
I also now really want a bird. A Golden Merlin to be exact. And I would name her Moss.
That would be so cool to have a Moss...
And ever since Falcon in the Glass I have loved kestrels, but then I found the Sparrow Hawk, which is in the family if kestrels. I mean, just look at it!
It looks so sweet and soft, but it also has some wicked looking talons.

I would stay and chat longer, but I do have to go right now! So, until the morrow!!

Marsh-Mallows...

Hey all! I survived April Fools.
Not that there was really anything to survive. We all agreed to not do any jokes on each other and instead prank others. Like the mailman, he probably had a heart attack when Ben (he was in his gilly suit) jumped out of the bushes!! That's a joke. We didn't fool other people.

Oh! Tonight we're having a Bonfire, and I'm really excited for that!! I hope the weather stays nice.

Umm, I kinda don't know what to say...

Well, I love the "Falcon in the Glass." so far. It is so awesome! It takes place in Italy and it's about...well, you can look it up.

So, lately I've been writing short stories every day to help "exercise" my descriptive skills. I've kinda surprised myself with some stuff that I've written.

It's time for a..............................................RANDOM   THOUGHT!!!!
MARSHMALLOWS!!! Ok, so maybe this isn't so random because of the bonfire tonight. But hey, let's ignore that...
So, gooey, white, sticky marshmallows. Yum. But let's take a look at that word.
Marsh-Mallow. So, correct me if I'm wrong Google, but a marsh is a stinky, wet, dirty place (that can be fun). And a Mallow is a...I'm not even sure what a Mallow is. Google? Any idea's?
Ok, Google says it's a flower. Thanks Google.
So, a marshmallow is a stinky, wet flower? That makes no sense. Who came up with the name for this delicious dessert? Obviously crazy people.
And that's it for today's Random Thought!!!

Anywho, and that's all folks!!

Cascadia

I know I'm posting twice in one day (that's not a crime...right?), but I have to congratulate my brother.
He just got back from a test that determined if he was getting into Cascadia collage or not. And guess what, HE PASSED!!!! What you need to pass is 80 or more, but he got 96!!!
I'm so excited for him that I had to post this...
This is a little scary though, he's going to be going to collage in the fall...
I don't know if I'm okay with that, but I guess he'll be fine. He's also going to be 18 inn 8 months...18 people!! I remember when he was 10 and torturing me, I mean, he's still torturing me. But I remember back then.
Once again Bro, you did great!!!!

Toodlepip

Marco, Mornings, and Mayhem

First off, WHEW!! A moment of rest. Yesterday was such a whirlwind. I presented a Mars Hill speech in speech and debate. It always reminds me that I'm a horrible speaker. For some unknown reason I get really nervous when I speak. Like, normally I don't have a problem talking to people, but if I'm presenting something then my hands start to shake, and I get really red...even though I'm not embarrassed or anything. It drives me nuts.

I have a debate tournament that I have to prepare for, well, it's a mini one. But still, I want to do well.
I have a debate partner, and we are up against Ben and his debate partner. So we'll win! :)

So I am reading this book, The Adventures and Discoveries of Marco Polo. It's really good, and it's from 1949. I have learned so much from it. It's not really "pleasure reading", but it's not forced reading. I don't know what you would call it. I found out that Christopher Columbus had a copy of one of Marco Polo's books, and it had his hand writing in it. It is still around to this very day.

I just found some new awesome names to use in a book! Ember and Adar. Adar means fire. I like that. Also, I really like the names Ren and Lana. They both mean water.
It's weird because my two favorite elements  are Fire and Water...complete opposites.

Also, I am not a morning person...
I feel like Anna in the morning, "Princess Anna?" *snoring* "Princes Anna!" *snortsnuffle* "Hmm?" "Sorry to wake you.." "No, no, you didn't wake me," *yawn* "I've been up for hours!" *snoring* "Princess Anna?' *snork* "Who is it?" "Uhh, still me."
Like I said, I'm not a morning person.

Uhg, I've had hardly any breakfast, so I'm really hungry!!
I'm going to make some oatmeal and then add some raisins and cinnamon. Mmm, so I shall go make that.
