Well, I just watched the first two episodes of Arrow. It was recommended by a friend, and I haven't had the time. But today I was able to sit down and watch it.
I have so many questions....

I have an entire bookshelf filled with all my favorite books. At the beginning of the year, I had one or two. But now...AN ENTIRE BOOKSHELF!!!!!
I need another bookshelf to fill.

Todays post is going to be SUUUPER short. We have people over.

Well, today has been a full day...
I started out by baking banana chocolate swirl bread with Bethany. It was delicious. Only because she was the baker today, and directing me with tasks to help. I can't bake to save my life...
Anyway, after that Bethany, Ben and I went on a bike ride. Then stopped at a park to play Frisbee. It was so hot in that field, that we sped back home and asked to go to the lake. IT WAS A YES!!!!
Ahh, the lake felt so good! We played around there for a while, then came back home.

Last night my entire family went on a walk to SkinnyD's frozen yogurt. Then we drove to a small baseball field to play Frisbee.
We've started really playing Frisbee a lot more. It's fun.

Well, my day will continue with writing.

The Deathly Hallows

Hello there!
I have just finished The Deathly Hallows. It was really good. I am kind of in denial about...someone's death. It was very sad, but brief. Ok, if you have not read The Deathly Hallows, I won't give out spoilers (I can't resist them either). Oh man, I used to think that Harry Potter was weird, but now...? Let's just say I don't think it's weird. :)

I have to say that the Potterheads got pretty lucky with the movies. The films followed closely with the books, but the PJO fandom...pfft, not even close. Well, that's a rant for a different day.
I have to say my favorite Harry Potter characters (not in order) are:
Professor Mcgonagall for all her awesome remarks, dedication to Griffindor and the bravery it stood for, and her loyalty to Dumbledore;
Neville, for his great character development, always standing up for Harry, and standing up to Voldemort;
Ginny, for her willingness to fight, even when she knew she might die and doing a great job of standing on her own;
Snape. Odd, I know, but I love his redemption at the end, and how we didn't know for sure what side he was on;
Draco. I don't know why...I just really like his character. As minor villains go, he was a great one.

Anywho, I should go,

Licorice Tea

SQUEEEE!!!! The Halfblood Prince is sitting on my desk right now, and I'm halfway through it. The Deathly Hallows is waiting for me in the living room. It feels like I've been waiting forever, but I really haven't (that's beside the point). Anyway, I've already done my happy dance and probably annoyed the entire neighborhood with my squeals of delight and happiness! My happy is too loud.

It's a rainy day; it was yesterday as well. A well overdue break from the sweltering heat of summer. Don't get me wrong, I love summer with all the lemonade stands, freshly mowed grass, and nights under the stars because you're crazy if you stay inside in the heat, but I can only take so much of almost melting.
And when it rains, I love seeing the rich colors of the forest just behind my house with all the rich greens and deep browns.
Wow, am I really going on about the weather? Do I really have nothing else to talk about?

Well, my writing has been going well. I have gotten a lot done. :)

It's really weird. I was looking at my search history, and I thought for sure the government was gonna bust down my door for being a terrorist.
For instance, poisons without antidotes-how fast does an arrow to the heart kill someone? And other...interesting things like that!

Lately, I've been profiling my characters a lot more. It's easier to keep track of all the stuff they like and dislike when I put it down on a page. A LOT easier.
And their heights. For instance, if someone is looking at another someone, should they be looking up or down?
Ya know, just little stuff like that.

Mmm, mom just made me some licorice tea.

Well, I'm back!
It's nice to be back home.
As you might already know, I went down to the Oregon coast for the annual family reunion. It was the best year yet!

We got to the beach house and started talking and mingling with the relatives that were already there.
My Aunt Donna (she's actually my Great-Aunt, actually, almost all of the Aunts and Uncles mentioned are Greats. They're just young enough to be actual Aunts and Uncles) has always been grandmotherly, like, the big hugs and baking kind of grandmotherly. But she is energetic and fun, always humming and dancing. She was one of the first to arrive at the beach house. Along with my Aunt (Great-Aunt) Judie. She is also energetic and fun.
I have a big family, so it's hard to try to say where they are in the family tree.
Anyway, after everyone finally got there we had dinner and desert. Dinner was a delicious pasta salad and hotdogs. Desert was Chocolate Ice Cream Bars. Then we went to bed.

The next morning was very leisurely. I grabbed an apple and a vitamin water, then headed down to the beach. It was sunny, but a bit foggy. Wading into the water to see how cold it was, I decided to go back up to the house and change into my bathing suit. By the time I came back down, ready to head into the waves, almost everyone was down there. I was the only one to go into the water because...well, it was freezing ocean water. It was literally the coldest water I've ever felt. But I decided to not back down and marched right in. Needless to say it was difficult for me to not march right back out immediately. I got used to it (more like, I became numb) and stayed in for a while.
Bethany came down near the water and tested it with her little toe...she didn't go any farther. My cousin Conner, who is the same age as me, tested the water too. But instead of his little toe, he stuck in his entire foot. Shrieking, he jumped back from the waves. It was pretty funny.

After a while, I got out of the waves. I looked at my legs and they were bright red from the cold. It was exhilarating being in the water, but freezing. :)

We played Ultimate Frisbee twice, and each time I got a face full of sand. It was a lot of fun though. There were all these snacks and stuff. Like licorice, and crackers and fresh fruit. It was such a blast!
On Saturday we had a huge crab and salmon feast. Mmm, I love crab and salmon.

OHMYGOSHIT'SFINALLYHERE!!! Insurgent and Alligiant are on the hold shelf for me at the library.
I'm excited, in case you couldn't tell.

Well, that's it folks,

The Family Reunion

I am currently on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I should be done with it by tonight.
I've been reading it off and on today, so far I am on page 700 and I just started it this morning. I got SKILLZ!

Tomorrow I'm leaving for a family reunion, with my family (were those last three words necessary?).
Every year we go down to the Oregon coast for the weekend and meet up with family (my mums side). I love being able to just hang out on the beach and talk with my Aunts and Uncles (they are awesome). But I'm also excited to just hang out on the beach and be able to read while a salty breeze is blowing through my hair and the waves are lapping at my feet. Ah, paradise.

On the way down there we are going to stop by one of my mothers childhood-adulthood friends. I can't wait to see them.

Also, I will be seeing one of my friends that lives in Olympia. SInce she lives that far away I don't see her very often, and her birthday was in June. So I haven't given her her birthday present yet. But I will this Thursday! I haven't forgotten.

I gots to go to the library for some extra books to read on the ride down to the coast.
See ya!

Mum's Birthday

Well, these past couple days have been a blast!
First off, we went kayaking on the 11th. The water was so clear and gorgeous! We went to Silver lake to try it out. There were a ton of people, but once we got out to the middle, we were the only ones around. It was such a hot day that Bethany and I hopped out of our kayaks into the water. At first it was freezing-the immediate shock of cold adding to the intensity of the temperature-but then I got used to it, and it was fine. We swam around the lake for a while then got back into the kayak. I hate leaving the water.
We drove to Costco, did some shopping, and split a berry sundae.

Yesterday (the 12th) was my momma's birthday. We went down to the Machias river and floated it inter-tube style. It was a 3 hour ride. Bethany, Ben and Dad flipped a couple times, but other than that no-one got hurt! :)
After we got to the end of the river part that was safe, we went to Whole-Foods and got some ice cream bars as a treat for Momma! I got mint chocolate chip. It's my favorite.

Right now I'm mastering the bridge of "Let it Go". It's gonna take a ton of practice.

Wow, I am tired.

I got nuthin' else to say.

Thursday, July 10, 2014

Wow, I am tired. Because of the heat. See, it's been so hot at night lately, that I can't get to sleep until it's really late. At least I've been able to stay upright and stay awake during the day. :)

Yesterday we went to the beach with some friends. I had a lot of fun.
I always forget how cold the ocean is, but I love it anyway. I love the water, I don't really know why.
I normally just wade up to my calf if it's really cold, but this time (I'm so proud of me) I went all the way up to my neck. After a while I got used to it (or maybe I just went numb), and then I didn't want to leave it. But when I did, I soaked my shirt and hat in the saltwater and wore those so I could stay cool.

I got The Prisoner of Azakaban yesterday. After the beach we swung by the library and it was there, just waiting on the shelf for me! Needless to say I read it last night, and I am now working on The Goblet of Fire.
The movies are fairly close. The Potterheads have nothing to complain about...mostly. I mean, there are so many books that have been butchered movie-wise. Like Percy Jackson and the Olympians, oh...don't even get me started on the movies...

I think the book is calling me, well, I better listen.

Hola all.
Yesterday I went to the library, I got a book that I have wanted to read for a while. Eragon. See, my brother read them a while ago, but I haven't been able to get them from the library until recently. I stayed up pretty late last reading it. I was also so hot that I couldn't sleep. And that brings me to...

SUMMER!!! Goodness, in Washington, it's either cold and rainy or hot and dry. There is no inbetween. It's a good thing that I like cold and rain. Or warm and rain.

My sister is babysitting an adorable kid, Nellie.
Wow, it is such a hot day! Maybe we can go to the lake.

I've been writing every chance I get practically. I wrote an entire chapter in one sitting yesterday. It was awesome! Go me!
I can't wait until I'm done writing it and then I get to read it! Right now I'm at a super sad part that I have to write. Gah, I'm having mixed feelings about it. Like, it's awesome because it gives such a great chance for development and awesome description and shtuff. But at the same time it's like..."AHHHH, why am I doing this?" Plus, the person that the bad thing is happening to is so...awesome. And I have to ruin their lives!
Writing is hard. :(
But I love it. :)

Learning Let it Go is going well. I am at the second chorus.

I'm going to check on the lake idea,

Pip Pip Cheerio

Well, yesterday was the 4th of July! Yay! A day of freedom, fun, and fireworks. We went to a friends house for the evening. They have  house close to a lake. So it was cool being able to go down to the lake and watch fireworks. We've been going to their house for the 4th every year since...well, as long as I can remember. It was fun. They always have such a big party, with a lot of family (and a million cousins).

I started reading the Harry Potter series, and I live the first two books. I just haven't gotten the books from the library yet. I've actually gotten every book BUT the third. So I can't read the others yet. Darn.

Hmm...doobeedoo. Not much else has happened. Other than me being in hermit mode, writing away.  I've been writing a lot more than I usually do. It feels great. I've planned out the plot and shtuff for the second book. I can't wait to write that one.

I'm gonna go 'cuz I want to write more!

P.S. I have this other version of Let it Go stuck in my head. It goes like...
                                           Tally ho,
                                           Tally ho,
                                     Toodlepip pip cheerio
And then there's the one where if Elsa and Kuzco had a kid.
                                                 Let it groove,
                                                 Let it groove,
Can't hold back all the moves.
Well, that's it.

Wildwaves and College

Time has gone by so fast, I started out this month thinking I was going to have plenty of time to accomplish everything!!! But now I look up and it's almost July. I miss when I was younger, I used to think that each season was a year because it felt so long. I miss that.

Some friends of the family are coming over at 7 tonight. I haven't seen them in a while. We might have a bonfire if it doesn't continue to drizzle.

                                                                    Next Day....
Well, I just got back from our church's Fourth of July Party. It used to be so much fun for me. But this year it was just kind of...bluh. But there was popcorn, so that was a small ray of sunshine.

Oh! Big plus of the day. A trip to the library happened and I got a lot of books!
We're going to Wildwaves tomorrow with my Aunt and Cousin. We got a season pass at the beginning of this year because they were only 30 dollars for all year. I can't wait to see them! They live in Oregon so we hardly get to see them.

This morning Ben went to his first collage class. I can't believe that he's going to collage!! Wow, I feel like time is going by too fast.

Well, I'm back from Wildwaves, and I got a really bad sunburn on my FACE! And my shoulders. Uhg....
SO now I have to take a cold shower to help get rid of the heat under my skin. And I'm sore because of the roller coasters and stuff. There was this one ride called The Ring of Fire. Here, I'll find a video..
That's what I did. I was lifting of my seat! Man, it was so freaky, but awesome. A freaky awesome.

Also, Wildwaves has Teacups. Well, when your 17 yr old brother and really strong Aunt start spinning. It's crazy. I couldn't hold my neck up, we were going so fast!
I had a lot of fun though.
