30 to 5

Ok, so as you might have noticed, I haven't been posting every day. I realized that as much as I enjoy posting, it does take up a considerable amount of time (for me at least). And some things that I think should get done, don't exactly get done. So, I am going to try an experiment, for a week I am going to manage my time differently, if I can I will gladly fit in posting stuff. But if it doesn't work out that I can get to posting, then it will be fine, since it will not be a priority.

Once again, this is for an expiration and for a week only. From the 30th (tomorrow) to the 5th (next Thursday).

I love posting but really think that I should try to boost my time use awareness.

Until the 5th, this is...( I need a name for myself, like those dudes on the radio)...E.G.Y. (My initials. Clever, I know.)

Sorry I haven't posted, I just got back from a trip. It was for Bethany's birthday. See, we have started to do birthday weekends. Cheap and fun. Like, we took the ferry to Poulspo on Sat. and did some kyacking and browsed bookshops and antuiqe shops. It was fun. We stayed at a motel for the night and then took the ferry home. Then on Mon. it was Bethany's birthday party. We only invited Grandpa and Grandma, and 2 other familys. That took all day to prepare for, and clean the house, and prepare food.  It turned out to be a great party.

I've realized that when I get mad, excited, or nervous. I start to talk in a British accent. Sometimes Sourthern, but not normally. I don't even try to! I just slip into it, and it's hard for me to stop. I don't know why.

This is my 100th post! I started in January.

I'm starting to work again, weeding for anyone who will take me. For $5 an hour. I mean, I would charge more, but it is just weeding.
With the extra cash that I've earned I was able to buy two books! The House of Hades and I pre-ordered The Blood of Olympus. I'm excited to get them.

I also started working on Let it Go again, I'm almost to the chorus (on piano)!!!

Hey all, so yesterday my mom and I went to the beach. It was a ton of fun! I got a lot of cool shells and we played in the water a bit.

Today is the day...
Yesterday I finished cleaning out my mini-house. And today I shingled it. My mom has some of shingles left over from when we re-did our roof. So I can use those, I just have to cut them down to size.
I'm excited to start making the furniture. I want to make everything. Including the beds and mirrors and stairs and the bath. And all that great stuff. I don't know how yet, but I WILL figure it out.

Bethany and I are going to make brownies (paleo), and then we are going to snuggle and watch a movie. She and i have been spending a lot more time together lately. She's a lot of fun.

Ummm, so I showed my brother my Story board on Pinterest today. He gave some...interesting ideas! It was fun to see what some of his thoughts were.

Anyway, Beth is starting the movie. I better go!

A Little While Later...

Today was testing for us. We woke up at 6:00 and had to be at this church place by 8:30. It was so hard to stay awake because I normally wake up at 8:30. Anyway, we got to the church, and we were all herded into different rooms for the different grades. I was fine for the Reading and Comprehension, but I kinda panicked on the Math section. I'm a bit nervous to see my results. I hope I did well.

All my fishies disappeared. Did they die? I don't know, but I'm sad they're gone.

I just got a huge load of books from the library, and I have been reading them (duh). My point is that I haven't read in a while (haven't made a library run in a while), and I didn't realize just how much I missed books.

The other day I was talking with my mom, and I realized that I have gotten 3 book ideas from Pinterest. I used to tease my sister about being on Pinterest all the time, but now I know why she was.

Last night I had the weirdest dream that I was writing a blog post, and it was SOOOO long. Then I woke up and I thought, "Oh! I can write about all that I wrote about in my dream." But then I forgot it. So now I decided to just write about this. Yuperooy.
                                                             A while later....
I just got back from helping my mom with an emergency cleaning situation. I got a couple donuts out of it (I shouldn't have had them, but I did). It was fun.

My family has been playing this game every day. It's called Monopoly Deal.  It is a ton of fun, and I find it really strategic. I, being the youngest family member, have taken it upon myself to win. Against all odds will I prevail. Anyway, it's time for me to go humiliate the rest of the Yackels.

Hey guys, can't post long, I'm going into the back woods to find a spot to build my treehouse. It's taken me a while, but I still won't give up. I WILL have that treehouse! :D

I'm excited, ever since September 3rd I have been making a compilation of videos of vacations and fun stuff we did. I am going to put that to music and give it to Beth for her birthday! Anyway, I am about to download everything on the computer and start to edit it!

Oh my gosh! A couple family friends did a Hunger Games fan film and I was just now able to watch it. It's so good!!! I think it's awesome how this little girl is such an awesome actress. "Willow" looks like she's 9, but dang! She can act.

Darv'it all! The completely edited video is glitching and I don't know how to fix it!

Anyway, I looked up the English version of "The Windsong" and it is so awesome!
            Sing a song
        And for a moment
You will be visited by the wind
                Sing a song
            And for a moment
        Dream sweetly of the wind
Sleep now until the night is dawn
The wind and the night song, they are there
However the song, my child, will go on forever

I really like that song...

Anyway, I SHALL find the perfect treehouse spot,

The Incredibles

Hi, I'm feeling positively rummy. My head is pounding, and I am trying to sleep because I got NONE last night. Uhg...

Right now my mom and I are watching The Incredibles. I love this part.
"This little rat is guilty!!" "Um, Mrs. Parr, you and your son can go now." "You're letting him go again? He's guilty I say!! GUILTY!!!"

One time a friend and I had the giggles. She wanted to make me laugh even harder, so she started quoting that. And that's how we ended up laughing hysterically shouting "GUILTY, I SAY, GUILTY!!!!"
We got a lot of weird looks from other people that were there.

I have been developing the plot for War Games a lot more today. As well as writing The Mirror. I've been struggling with finding a better title. I mean, The Mirror is such a mediocre name. I want something that sticks with people, something that is unique. I guess I'll just have to wait until the end of the book to find a name that really embodies the essence of adventure that I want the book to possess. I'm also planning a sequel and a prequel, but first I need to finish the one I am currently writing.

Wow, I haven't watched this movie in a long time, and I'm picking up on the more mature jokes. It's funny that as a kid I just thought they were weird jokes, but now I get them.

Well then, I better go because multitasking is not one of my best qualities.

Spoiler Sadness

Hey all, Ben is building a Go-cart, and it is awesome!!! So far he has the frame, wheels, and axles welded together. I can't wait 'till it's finished.

The girls that Bethany babysits are here. They are the cutest thing. Maybelline (May for short), is 5 years old, and is so funny and spunky. Penelope (Nellie for short), is 3 years old and the cutest kid you will ever find. She has these huge brown eyes that are adorable.

NONONONONONONO!!!!! I just read a spoiler on Pinterest about the Divergent series. I am mad because it majorly ruins the series. I won't say what it is because I know how hard it is to skip over spoilers if some of you haven't read the series. Well, that's maddening.

The girls (May, Nellie, Bethany) and I are watching Brave.
I have a slight cold, and I am sore from doing that workout yesterday.
It's funny, I got into that routine a while ago, and it was fine. I stopped waking up sore, but then I got out of that habit and now my bones are aching!!!
It's a good kind of ache though.

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

Today has been so awesome. This morning I woke up early and listened to Jonathan Park for 20 minutes to let myself wake up. Then, I unloaded the dishes and changed the sheets on my bed. I also got my math and typing done (all before 9:00). It was a good morning. Then my mom woke up, and we had devotion, and I now just got done with my cardio workout. That's right, this chub-a-luby is starting to actually work out!! Yeah!!
I am about to go machete the trail in the woods, but I thought I'd write a quick blog post first.

It has been so hot these past couple of days. I like it either reeeally cold or warm with a nice breeze. It hasn't been warm and there haven't been any breezes. It has been boiling hot, and the closest thing to a breeze is that one tree branch swaying because I just jumped down from it. That's it. I'm not complaining (well, maybe a little bit), and I am happy that it's not 5,000,000 degrees outside (if it was it wouldn't matter because we would all be dead), but still.

Wow, not a lot has happened today.

Okay, I just got back from clearing the trail, and my arms are shot! I forgot how hard is.
Anyway, I'm going to watch the season finale of Agents of Shield. I am so excited to see how horrible it is, I mean, it's just so sad!
Well, I'm going to go grab a fuzzy blanket and some snacks.

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

I have been thinking, (a dangerous pastime) I know. And...hold it. Hold everything!!!
I have to go!
                                                          *crickets chirping*
                                                               A little later...
Ben got a rabbit!! Okay, he has wanted to get a rabbit for a long time, and the closest he had ever been to getting one, was when Finlay killed one. But today Ben and I were on that back deck and he saw the rabbit. He ran and grabbed his pellet gun, and I kept an eye as to where the rabbit was. After 10 minutes of finding the rabbit again with his scope, he took the shot. And we got it!! This is awesome.

Well, my dad is home, it's early for him to be home. Not that I'm complaining, just commenting...and excited.

Wow...another really short post.

Mary Poppins

Hello, I have finished reading "Elisabeth, the Princess Bride", for the millionth time. Her story is so sad. At first she was happy, then she was forced to immerse herself in the court life and make sure that every "flaw" people might see in her was taken care of. She dismissed it and didn't care, but then later on in her life she became so obsessed with her looks that she would hardly ever leave her chambers.

Anywho, I have been checking out all the old movies I haven't seen in a LOOOOONG time, like "Mighty Joe Young". "Duma". "The Prince of Egypt"....etc. (End of Thought Capacity).
Right now I'm watching "The Prince of Egypt" while I turn the baggies inside out. We reuse our baggies by sticking them in the washer. It's quite a frugal way to save your baggies, but we do throw away the ones that have been used to hold raw meat. FOCUS!! I'm supposed to be talking about movies. I love these movies.

Anyway, I am trying to learn "Invisible" by Hunter Hayes on piano. I like that song, and I like the piano so...yeah!
Also, I saw this thing on Pinterest (way too many of my conversations start that way), and if you write
-2-2+= it sounds like the beat of "Chim Chiminy" from Mary Poppins. I find that quite fun to do.

I have to go make dinner, see ya tomorrow.

Romeo and Juliet

Hey guys, the play was really good. It was Romeo and Juliet, most of the time I could understand it (they used the Old English one. The Original script...I think). The acting was amazing, and wardrobe looked quite authentic. I liked it, and I had a lot of fun with Rebecca. It was awkward at first because we are so weird, but guarded with our weirdness. Then we warmed up to each other, and the night ended quite oddly, but awesomely.

Oh my goodness, Alta and her mom came to our house just now. We've known them for all my life. They are missionary's to India, and before they deport to India they are trying to raise some funds to help. We haven't seen them in a while, so it's really awesome to see them. I love listening to the conversations that they have. They normally have to do with,
1. God
2. Parenting
3. Life
I like hearing about myself being described and what I can work on.

My novel is going well. I'm happy with it, but the first 2 chapters need to be re-written. I was re-reading them the other day and I was kind of horrified by the writing errors and terrors that were intertwined with the words. But after those first 2 chapters, I'm really happy with it. Yay!!!

Today is Mothers Day. Thank you mother for making my life amazing and I love you so much!!

Too Short for Words

Today Bethany and Abby are going to a play, I was wanting to come along, so now 'Becca is coming also. I'm excited for that. It's funny really, for the longest time I had like...2 friends and I thought that I was the only one. But then Bethany introduced me to Rebecca. She is so much like me it's not even funny, Beth always ranted to me about how 'Becca and I should be friends but I kinda dismissed it. Anyway, long story short, we are now friends and I'm excited to see her, I haven't seen her in a while.

Sorry I've had such short posts, but I haven't had a lot of time to write long posts.

Gotta go,

Imba Wimbo

Hey guys, my brother and I were watching Studio C. For those of you who have never heard of it/seen it, you must go to Youtube right now and look it up...I'm waiting....go on. Why are you still reading this?
I have spent so many hours collectively watching their videos. If you are looking for a good way to waste your time, and you're tired of those cat videos that are your last resort, go watch Studio C!!!!!

Wow, time went by's 3:27....
I'm hungry, and I want something sweet, but I have to cut down on my sugar. Why you ask? Well, I went to a doctor's appointment and found out I'm allergic to eggs. Really? That's like one of my main breakfast items. So that's fun. Bethany and Mom are also trying to get me to cut back on my sugar and bread. We've also been juicing more. I guess I could make a banana, chocolate protein powder shake. Mmm, that sounds good.

Its a sunny day, and I'm planning on going for a bike ride (can you see me struggling for topics?).
I rediscovered the movie Mighty Joe Young. We used to own it, (it used to be my favorite movie), but then we got a DVD player, and all the VHSs were given away (including Mighty Joe Young). Then I saw the trailer on some old website, and I was really excited. I have been listening to the theme song again. I used to listen to it over and over, and it would annoy Ben (all this happened when I was 7 or 8). The song is called "Imba Wimbo" or "The Windsong". It's in Swahili. I have so many memories associated with that song.

My mom and I are going to on a walk in a sec. I better go get dressed. Uhg, I LIKE loafing around in my pajamas, thank you very much. I am so lucky to be home-schooled. If I wasn't, I would have to get dressed every morning and go to a place that is filled with loud people. Yay for homeschooling!!!

The Last Day

Hey so it's the last day that I will talk about Arkansas.

Day ? Saturday the..... The Goodbyes.

We woke up, had breakfast and said goodbye to Lex and Andy. They were headed home. Then it was another morning ride, but I went climbing instead. Tucker and Morgan took me up to a couple routes. The hardest one I did was a 5.8. I know for some of you out there that's super easy. But hey, I'm 12 and I have never rock climbed before this week. That's pretty darn good.
Got back for lunch and waited around for the rest of the Yackel clan to get there.
I don't remember what we did after that but when it was 6:00 we saddled up and rode out to have the farewell cookout. It was sad. We said goodbye to everyone because we were leaving the very first thing in the morning. I still miss HCR. Morgan and Tember (his girlfriend) drove us back to the airport. We had to leave at 9:00 since there was supposed to be a tornado at 12:00. So that was awesome/scary. That night there was lighting and thunder. But now we're back home safe and sound.
I really hope we can go back next year.

Moving on to more current matters. Yesterday it was raining so hard, I went outside for 10 minutes and got SOAKED.

Oh, Ben needs the coputer for his Boy Scouts stuff. Gotta go.

Frozen and Caving

I'm just going to jump right in,
Day 6, Thursday the 24th, Caving
Woke up too early, so I was kinda stumbling around like a zombie, especially when I got breakfast. I spilled the orange juice and had to do the walk of shame to our table to grab some napkins. After that we were informed that the family from Ohio was leaving. We had gotten to know them over the half of the week. I mean, if you are dangling over the side of a cliff and the only person in front of you is a person you don't know. You're going to bond with them over the mutual feeling of terror and "OmygoshI'mgoingtodie". So it was sad to see them leave.
After that We all went to the barn for our regular morning ride. Ziggy was being a little twerp. He has it out for Butterbean (Ben's horse), and every chance he got he would nip him.
It was the longest morning ride I've ever been on, so we got back just in time for lunch.
After lunch we had a choice. Caving or another ride. So Ben chose the afternoon ride because he was really getting into the horses. And Lex and Andy chose the ride as well. But the rest of us wanted to do caving. And since the rest of us included Me, Mom, Dad, and Beth. We piled in the car and drove down to the hiking/caving site. It's called Lost Valley national reserve. On the way there we were crying we were laughing so hard (Tucker and Morgan drove us). I can't explain just how fun that car-ride was. :)
We arrived at the reserve and started on the hike. Morgan told us that if we hiked along the river instead of on the path then their would be more scenic experiences. So we complied and started walking a long the river. This place was amazing. Morgan would stop at every large boulder and inspect the handholds and climb it. And we found a new cave. Tucker saw an opening that he had never seen before and grabbed a flashlight and told us to follow him. Turns out it's a new cave, see, they had a huge rainstorm the week before we came and the dirt must have washed away, revealing the opening to the cave. It wasn't that big, but it was still really cool. We then went up to the really big cave, complete with a built in waterfall. It was really cold water. We then hiked back and drove back to the ranch. Once again, an unforgettable car-ride. :)
Then we had dinner and kinda watched Frozen. That's right. I watched Frozen. And I loved it.
Then we went to bed. Any questions about Frozen???

Continuing vacation posts.
Day 5, Wed. the 23rd.
We woke up and went down to the barn to ride to the cookout for breakfast. It was a yummy breakfast of pancakes and eggs.
After that we rode up to "Goat Cave". It was an...interesting ride for me. I'm not that smooth on a horse so you can imagine why it was...interesting.
We spent an hour at Goat Cave then rode back to the ranch.  After Lunch we hiked up to the side of the bluffs. We then harnessed up and started climbing up to this cable bridge. It was a freaky climb, there were some tough spots, and I'm not good with heights. So after I freaked out inside, I got a grip and finished the climb, all the way up the 30 foot rock wall to the cable bridge. The cable bridge was a thick cable tightrope thing that you had to walk across. It was 40 feet in the air so I was really nervous. So Tucker went in front of me and gave me tips on how to get across easiest. And he also tried to distract me by bringing up other stuff ,it didn't work but it was a nice gesture. After I got across that I had to climb down 20 feet to a rock ledge that they had reinforced. At the end of the rock ledge was a platform and a whole bunch of wires and cables and harnesses. The Giant Swing. After everyone had gone, it was my turn. While I was on the platform getting hooked up, I kinda started to chicken out so Morgan and Tucker started talking to me and reminded me of a story I had told them when I first met them. It was about my previous experience zip-lining. I chickened out and regretted it. So they convinced me to go through with it. I finally stepped off the platform and swung out. I thought that was it but then they started the machine to crank me up really high. I finally got high enough and I was over 40 feet off the ground. They yanked the rope thing that released the safety lock. So I dropped 10 feet then swung out over the canyon. I have to admit, it was so much fun. Then I got back up to the platform and got all unhooked. Then we headed up a staircase and there was the zipline. It was a half a mile long and I got up to 50 MPH. It was blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The entire course was called the ViaFerrata. The zipline brought us close to our cabins so we hiked back just in time for dinner. Then after dinner we had barn games again. It was such a great day. And everyone was tired out so we headed to bed a bit early.

Hey all, I'm going to try something. I'm going to let Beth write on my blog and see what crazy stuff she says. :)
Section of Beth's writing starts here: Hey guys! I literally love my sister so much. She is my best friend in the entire world. We are always so crazy when we are together and she is so gorgeous. She is my babyyyyy. We are about to snuggle and watch a movie so I am going to go! She loves writing on her blog for you guys so enjoy! (And yes this is actually Bethany and not my sister saying good things about herself.) P.S. If she says anything bad about me, its not true!!! ;P  P.P.S. My name is BETHANY. NOT Beth. XD
End of Beth's writing.

Bethany is really weird, but I love her to death. Anywho, end of crazy experiment.

We are watching OUAT right now. I love this show.

Friday, May 2, 2014

Hey guys, continuing yesterday's post...

So far I have covered Day 1, 2, and 3. Moving on to four.

Day Four, Tuesday the 22nd, Canoeing.
We woke up and headed to breakfast, it was delicious (as usual), and Bethany and I had a hard time choosing between Canoeing or Climbing. See, we had 2 things on the schedule. Climbing or Canoeing. So Beth and I finally chose Canoeing, but Ben chose climbing.
Anywho, we grabbed our swim suits just in case and headed down to the van with everyone to go to the river. Everyone included the couple from London (Andy and Lex), then the family from Ohio (Nathan, Jenn, Isaac, Olivia), and us (Mom, Dad, Bethany, and Me!!). After we all piled in our different canoes we shoved off and it was amazing. There were a couple rapids but nothing major. It was a 6 hour canoe ride and there were turtles and birds everywhere. As well as Butterflies and freshly blossomed Dogwoods, as well as Red-buds. They were so pretty. The water was crystal clear, and it was so hot. So 3 of the guys (Nathan, Isaac, Morgan) jumped off a cliff into the water. After that we stopped and had lunch along one of the beaches, then we hiked up to a waterfall. There were so many butterflies...
I had a lot of fun. And Mom and Dad fell into the river. There was a lot of shrieking and they ended up soaked.
After we got back to the ranch I noticed I was burned REALLY bad. Like, the side of my face is still red from it, as well as my arm and wrist. I'm going to have really weird tan-lines.
It was an hour before dinner so we all grabbed our horses and did a short trail-ride. Then it was dinner and after that the Twilight Ride. What that is, is a ride for 16 and up. It's supposed to give the parents a chance to get away from their kids for a half and hour. Anywho, all the kids (including myself) ended up watching The Croods. Then the parents got back and by then it was 9:30, so we all went to bed.
Anyway, that was day four.

Speaking of Four, I finished Divergent! It was really good. I would say more but I don't want to give out Spoilers....
Anywho, so yes, I would give it 5 stars!! 5 thumbs up! 5...elephants....(I have no idea what that's supposed to mean).
I havta go help clean up the house, the party is tomorrow so we have to clean, clean, clean.

Thursday, May 1, 2014

Ok, it is important that you read yesterday's post. I am continuing the vacation report and if you didn't read yesterdays then you missed the first 2 days of vacation. So go there first...
Anywho, starting right now.

Day 3, Monday the 21st, The Day of Adventure
We woke up in a small cabin, with stairs leading down from the small loft that connected to to the lower level that had a bathroom, main room with couch, and small kitchenette area. It was small for a family of five, but we managed. Quickly getting dressed and hurrying to an 8:30 breakfast. There was cereal and yogurt with scrambled eggs as well. We got introduced to everyone. There was a family from Ohio who was there for half the week. There was also a couple from outside London who were on a long trip and this was one of their stops. It was cool talking with them. So there was Barry, the owner. Then Scot, the head horse person. Stacey, the wrangler. Then Emmilou another wrangler.
There was Oli, Scots son, who is the cutest thing on this planet!! He wears a different shirt superhero shirt each day and answers to the name on the shirt. Like, one day he was wearing a superman shirt and I said, "Good Morning Oli!" He frowned and looked down at his shirt, "No! I'm not Oli, I'm Superman!" It was adorable. Anyway, back to people. So then there was...Morgan, he was 28 and had worked at the ranch for..4 years. He was awesome. :) And Tucker, he was 30 and he had been working at the ranch for a little over a year. He had a wife and baby (her name was Roxie and she was so smart!). :) Cody, the owners son was about 16 and he grew up on the ranch. (I miss them...) They were all adventure guides. And at the time Morgan was the only one who we actually knew. Until Stacey sat down and ate with us, she was nice. Anyway, we got the schedule and headed down to the stable to saddle up for the morning ride. I got a moon colored stallion called Ziggy. He was such a sweetheart but a bit of a pig. He ate whenever he got the chance, and after he ate his food he ate all the other horses food. :) Silly horse! Anyway, it was good to be able to ride again. Comfortable even. After the horse ride ( it was 11:30) we went back to the lodge and waited for others to finish their trail ride.
Ok, everyone assembled and we headed down to a piece of land that had a bunch of targets and we shot a .22, they also had a .38 but guests weren't allowed to shoot that one. We also did Tomahawk throwing and shot a compound bow. It was pretty simple stuff but it was just letting the staff get a feel for our abilities and what we felt comfortable with. Then it was lunch time! After lunch we went to go climb. The Belayers were Morgan, Tucker, and Cody. We started out on a large boulder called "The Kindergarten Climb". There were three levels of climbing along it (by the way all the rock that they climb on is real, it's all part of the bluffs), there was the easy, which I did twice, then there was the medium which was just as easy, it only had a tougher start. By the time we were all done it was dinnertime, so we went back and ate. At 7:30 everyone headed down to the barn for some games. We were able to climb the larger wall after we learned to use the auto belay. It was so much fun! There was also crate stacking. I did more crate stacking that anything.
You clip into the auto belay and then you start. There are 2 crates that have to balance your weight on the sides. Then someone hands you another crate and with your one free hand you push the crate under you until it clicks into pace. And you do this over and over until you either fall down or run out of crates. Bethany fell down at 9 crates, and so did I. But the family from Ohio's little girl Olivia (she was 10) got to 15 crates! It was so cool. Then we headed to bed and fell asleep immediately.

Okay, I'm actually only going to do one day today.
